LORETTO, PA (April 18, 2012) – Saint Francis University head men’s basketball coach Don Friday has resigned after four seasons, Director of Athletics Bob Krimmel announced on Wednesday evening.

“I want to thank Don for his service to Saint Francis and especially to our men’s basketball program,” said Krimmel.  “He is passionate about the game and brought his energy to work every day.  The Red Flash Family wishes him every success as he moves forward to new opportunities in his life.”

Friday was named the 20th head coach in program history on May 14, 2008, succeeding Bobby Jones.  During his four seasons in Loretto he compiled a 32-86 record and guided his teams to back-to-back Northeast Conference postseason berths in 2009-10 and 2010-11.

Associate head coach Rob Krimmel, who recently completed his 12th season on the Red Flash staff, will assume responsibility for the program’s day-to-day operations.
