CLARION, PA – The Clarion University Sports Information office is pleased to announce the addition of internet Live Stats for both football and volleyball home games for the 2012 season.

“We are really excited to offer this service to all our fans, especially alumni, parents and friends of Clarion athletics who can’t make it to the games,” Clarion Sports Information Director Rich Herman said. “We were able to start offering Live Stats during men’s and women’s basketball last year, and the response was overwhelming. Being able to offer them at football and volleyball this year is just a natural progression.

“I’d like to recognize Assistant Sports Information Director/Sports Web Director Chris Rossetti for working so hard to get the Live Stats set up for our fans.”

Fans will be able to access the Live Stats by going to the sports pages and then the schedule pages on www.clariongoldeneagles.com.

In addition to Live Stats, all football games both home and away will once again be available on the Golden Eagles radio network (92.7 FM in Clarion; 96.3 FM in Oil City) as well as on the internet www.clariongoldeneagles.com through Red Zone Media and through the Tune In Radio application on smart phones, the computer and other devices.

Clarion kicks off its home football season at 6:05 p.m. Thursday when it hosts Fairmont State. The game will also be broadcast live on Root Sports. The volleyball team, which starts its season at the Ferris State Invitational over the weekend has its first home matches set for Friday Sept. 7 as part of the Tony Banner Invitational. The Golden Eagles will host Shepherd at 12:30 p.m. and American International at 7:30 p.m.
