CHANDLER, Ariz.  – Ten members of the Lock Haven University field hockey team were named to the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.

The 10 Lady Eagles who were named to the All-Academic squad were Megan Evans (East Greenville, Pa./Christopher Dock), Anna Heggensteller (Liverpool, Pa./Greenwood), Abbey Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights), Teresa Lezama (D’Abadie, Trinidad & Tobago/St. Joseph’s Covent Port-of-Spain), Kelsie Minnich (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York), Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco), Beverly Ruhle (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood), Hannah Sick (Millville, Pa./Millville), Nicole Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) and Elaina White (Etters, Pa./Red Lion).

Earlier today the Lady Eagles were honored with the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Team Award.

The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that have achieved a Team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.
